A Uniformity Trial with Irrigated Broadcast Rice

The Journal of Agricultural Science, 1931
This paper describes a uniformity trial with irrigated broadcast rice and shows the large inter- and intra-field variation which exists. The standard deviations decrease with the increased size of plots and vary from 20–1 per cent, with 1/436 acre plots to 7–8 per cent, with 1/22 acre plots. The decrease of the standard deviation is small with plots ...

Uniformity Trials: Variation and Correlation in the Yield of Wheat

1985
There has been much interest in examining the effects of possibly correlated errors among plots in agricultural field trials. Many uniformity trials have been conducted to investigate this aspect. In these trials, every plot receives the same treatment. Two well-known experiments of this kind are those of Mercer and Hall (1911) and Wiebe (1935).

Peripheral Endovascular Revascularization Trials: High Noon for Uniform Reporting Standards

Acta Chirurgica Belgica, 2008
In the era of evidence based medicine, proof of clinical benefits and cost-effectiveness need to be firmly based on transparent comparisons between various therapeutic alternatives. Standards for reports are a prerequisite for comparisons across reports and should reflect the patient's perspective.

Use of a Uniformity Trial in Grazing Experiments1

Agronomy Journal, 1965
SynopsisCovariance analysis served to increase the precision with which some grazing trial criteria were estimated. The magnitude of the increase decreased sharply with increasing time intervals.

Prospective trial of a uniform protocol for managing infants with neurogenic bladder

Journal of Pediatric Urology
Since the Management of Myelomeningocele Study (MOMS) publication in 2011 we have designed a prospective protocol for surveillance of neurogenic bladder according to the Leal da Cruz categorization system (J Urol, 2015) that guides us on treatment. Our institution was the precursor of in-utero myelomeningocele (MMC) in Latin America, so our database ...

Uniformity Trials on Germination of Switchgrass Seed1

Agronomy Journal, 1959
SynopsisSignificant differences between tray levels in percent germination were obtained in 3 of the 4 germination environments tested. With the germinator filled to capacity, temperatures in top, middle, and bottom trays varied as much as 4° C. from the intended means.

Statistical procedures for distinctness, uniformity and stability variety trials

The Journal of Agricultural Science, 1980
SummaryThis paper describes statistical methods for analysing data arising from distinctness, uniformity and stability variety trials carried out to fulfil Statutory Regulations in the United Kingdom. Both univariate and multivariate methods are considered.
