Quantitating Mitral Regurgitation in Clinical Trials: The Need for a Uniform Approach
The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 2022There is an established relationship between the degree of mitral regurgitation (MR) and prognosis. Quantitation of MR severity guides therapeutic approaches. Inconsistent definitions and categorization of MR severity in clinical studies limit meaningful comparisons among trials and compromise development of an effective evidence base.

Uniformity trial with lucerne grown for fodder
Grass and Forage Science, 1995AbstractData on the yield of lucerne for individual cuts and the total for three cuts from a uniformity trial were analysed. It was observed that CV% values decreased with the increase in plot size, both for each cut and for total yield. The decrease was considerable up to a plot size of 8 to 16 m2.

Analysis of a Uniformity Trial on Cassava
Experimental Agriculture, 1968SummaryThe analysis of a uniformity trial on cassava is briefly discussed, mentioning possible effects of plant losses on the methods of analysis. Two methods of calculating comparable variances, on a per plant and per unit area basis, gave very high values for the index of heterogeneity, with a mean of 0·94.

Peripheral Endovascular Revascularization Trials: High Noon for Uniform Reporting Standards
Acta Chirurgica Belgica, 2008In the era of evidence based medicine, proof of clinical benefits and cost-effectiveness need to be firmly based on transparent comparisons between various therapeutic alternatives. Standards for reports are a prerequisite for comparisons across reports and should reflect the patient's perspective.

A Uniformity Trial with Irrigated Broadcast Rice
The Journal of Agricultural Science, 1931This paper describes a uniformity trial with irrigated broadcast rice and shows the large inter- and intra-field variation which exists. The standard deviations decrease with the increased size of plots and vary from 20–1 per cent, with 1/436 acre plots to 7–8 per cent, with 1/22 acre plots. The decrease of the standard deviation is small with plots ...

Prospective trial of a uniform protocol for managing infants with neurogenic bladder
Journal of Pediatric UrologySince the Management of Myelomeningocele Study (MOMS) publication in 2011 we have designed a prospective protocol for surveillance of neurogenic bladder according to the Leal da Cruz categorization system (J Urol, 2015) that guides us on treatment. Our institution was the precursor of in-utero myelomeningocele (MMC) in Latin America, so our database ...

Use of a Uniformity Trial in Grazing Experiments1
Agronomy Journal, 1965SynopsisCovariance analysis served to increase the precision with which some grazing trial criteria were estimated. The magnitude of the increase decreased sharply with increasing time intervals.
