Topological entropy for nonuniformly continuous maps
The topological entropy of a continuous self-map of a compact metric space can be defined in several distinct ways; when the space is not assumed compact, these definitions can lead to distinct invariants. The original, purely topological invariant defined by Adler et. al. is infinite if the system has at least one orbit with empty limit set. The Bowen-

Absolutely continuous invariant measures for non-uniformly expanding maps [PDF]
AbstractFor a large class of non-uniformly expanding maps of ℝm, with indifferent fixed points and unbounded distortion and that are non-necessarily Markovian, we construct an absolutely continuous invariant measure. We extend previously used techniques for expanding maps on quasi-Hölder spaces to our case.

Completion of merotopic spaces and extension of uniformly continuous maps
AbstractA general Riesz merotopic space (X, ν) determines a not necessarily topological closure operator cν on X. The space (X, ν) is said to be complete if every cluster on (X, ν) is contained in an adherence grill on (X, cν). We discuss a method of obtaining a large class of completions of a given Riesz merotopic space with induced T1 closure space ...

Fluctuating soil salinity across natural and managed landscapes of the coastal mid-Atlantic facing rapid sea-level rise [PDF]
The coastal mid-Atlantic region of the United States is increasingly vulnerable to soil salinization, primarily driven by sea-level rise and powerful coastal storms, posing a threat to farmland productivity, and ecological stability.

HOOPS WITH QUASI-VALUATION MAPS [PDF]
Based on subalgebras and filters in hoops, the notions of S-quasi-valuation maps and F-quasi-valuation maps are introduced, and related properties are investigated. Relations between S-quasi-valuation maps and F-quasi-valuation maps are introduced. Using

A study of uniformities on the space of uniformly continuous mappings [PDF]
Abstract New families of uniformities are introduced on UC(X,Y) , the class of uniformly continuous mappings between X and Y, where (X ...

Uniqueness and stability of equilibrium states for random non-uniformly expanding maps [PDF]
We consider a robust class of random non-uniformly expanding local homeomorphisms and Hölder continuous potentials with small variation. For each element of this class we develop the thermodynamical formalism and prove the existence and uniqueness of ...
