Single‐Cell Annotation and Localization via Integrating Spatial Transcriptomics Maps the Mouse Ocular Atlas and RAO Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed the ASCAL pipeline, integrating complementary spatial transcriptomics, to construct a high‐fidelity mouse whole‐eye single‐cell atlas. Applying ASCAL to a retinal artery occlusion (RAO) model revealed spatially restricted immune activation localized to the ganglion cell layer and the selective depletion of a translationally active, outer ...

NonlinearH∞-control under unilateral constraints [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Control, 2016
The primary concern of the work is robust control of hybrid mechanical systems under unilateral constraints of co-dimension one. Nonlinear H∞ output feedback synthesis is developed in the hybrid setting, covering collision phenomena. Robustness issues of the proposed synthesis are numerically illustrated in two benchmark applications.

Numerical solution of a contact problem with unilateral constraint and history-dependent penetration

open access: yes, 2015
International audienceA numerical method is presented for a mathematical model which describes the frictionless contact between a viscoplastic body and an obstacle, the so-called foundation.

A Portable Soft Robotic Glove with Fully Functional Thumb Assistance for Complex Dexterous Fine Motor Skills

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A portable, sensorized, and controlled dexterous thumb‐enhanced glove helps stroke survivors swipe phones, twist caps, and perform other tasks. It is based on a powerful continuously, segmented origami dual chamber actuator to achieve active thumb CMC and MCP joint assistance and passively extend the IP joint.

EXISTENCE AND WEAK STABILITY FOR A PRESSURELESS MODEL WITH UNILATERAL CONSTRAINT

open access: yes, 2002
We consider a two-phase model described by a pressureless gas system with unilateral constraint. We prove weak stability and the existence of weak solutions by passing to the limit in the sticky-blocks dynamics.

Material‐Encoded Synchronization of Immunogenic Cell Death With Adenosine A2A Receptor Blockade Reprograms the Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bismuth–copper diselenide–based nanoplatform (BSCS@PHY) coordinates immunogenic cell death with local A2A receptor blockade in 4T1 tumors. Thermally triggered shell melting exposes catalytic surfaces for glutathione depletion and chemodynamic ROS generation, while co‐delivering an A2AR antagonist and yeast‐wall adjuvant to enhance dendritic‐cell ...

Tykhonov well-posedness of elliptic variational-hemivariational inequalities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
We consider a class of elliptic variational-hemivariational inequalities in an abstract Banach space for which we introduce the concept of well-posedness in the sense of Tykhonov.

Multi-point support reaction forces calculation based on unilateral constraint

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering
Preventing overturning of construction machinery necessitates precise calculation of support reaction forces. The primary challenges reside in: (1) statically indeterminate force distributions, (2) indeterminacy of ground-contact states at support points.

Usability of Haptic Volumetric Assistance for Surgical Navigation Tasks

open access: yesCurrent Directions in Biomedical Engineering, 2021
Manual control of surgical instruments represents a sensorimotor control task with at least 3-6 degrees of freedom (DoF). The impact of haptic guidance on volumetric navigation tasks, such as milling of planned volumes for prosthesis fits or preserving ...

Optimal processes governed by integral equation equations with unilateral constraint

open access: yes, 1988
An optimal process with unilateral constraint is considered using relaxed controls. Existence of optimal control is automatic. Further, problems with linear and certain quadratic cost functions with linear integral and state constraints are such that the
