PBRM1 Deficiency in Microglia Leads to Excessive Neurogenesis and Autism‐Like Behaviors via the CCL5‐CCR1/5‐β‐catenin Signaling Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microglial PBRM1 deficiency drives excessive hippocampal neurogenesis by enhancing CCL5–CCR1/5 signaling, leading to autism‐like behaviors. A pro‐inflammatory IL1α+/TNFα+ microglial subset is identified as a key cellular contributor to this process. PBRM1 represses Ccl5 expression at the transcriptional level.

Dual‐Dimensional Laboratory–Ecological Assessment and Synergistic Intervention of Post‐Stroke Unilateral Spatial Neglect: A Case Report

open access: yesMedicine Advances
Unilateral spatial neglect is a frequent post‐stroke complication associated with long‐term disability and reduced quality of life. We report a case of post‐stroke unilateral spatial neglect, illustrating a dual‐dimensional assessment that integrates ...

Low‐Density Lipoprotein Receptor‐Targeted Biomimetic Nanoplatform Suppresses Glioblastoma Stemness and Remodels Antitumor Immunity via Dual Metabolic Disruption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A low‐density lipoprotein receptor‐oriented biomimetic nanoplatform couples brain‐tumor delivery with a mechanistically matched regorafenib‐erythrodiol combination. Concurrent disruption of autophagic nutrient salvage and cholesterol homeostasis collapses bioenergetic and signaling support, suppresses glioblastoma stemness, and promotes immunogenic ...

Understanding the neural basis of hemispatial neglect symptoms: an investigation in normal subjects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This thesis sought to investigate the recent claim by Karnath et al. (2001) that the crucial locus of neurological damage in neglect patients Vies in the right superior temporal gyrus (STG), and not in the right posterior parietal cortex (PPC), as ...

A Hypothalamic Oxytocinergic–Sympathetic Axis Couples Anxiety Dysregulation With Impaired Tendon–Bone Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RCI is associated with functional suppression of oxytocinergic neurons in the PVN. Reduced PVNOXT neuronal activity contributes to altered sympathetic regulation involving the IML–sympathetic chain pathway, accompanied by changes in norepinephrine signaling at the BTI.

Astrocyte‐Associated ABCA1/APOE Responses Accompany Hippocampal Lipid Remodeling and Ectopic Neuronal Accumulation During Epileptogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During kainic acid‐induced epileptogenesis, astrocyte‐associated ATP‐binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) and apolipoprotein E (APOE) responses accompany ectopic neurons and exploratory lipid alterations. In separate cohorts, bexarotene pretreatment and treatment on days 14–21 are associated with fewer ectopic hilar neurons and lower chronic seizure

Neglect and extinction depend greatly on task demands: A review

open access: yesFrontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2012
This review illustrates how, after unilateral brain damage, the presence and severity of spatial awareness deficits for the contralesional hemispace depend greatly on the quantity of attentional resources available for performance.

Human Engineered Heart Tissues Reproduce Trigger‐ and Substrate‐Driven Mechanisms of Ventricular Tachycardia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered heart tissues (EHTs) derived from human iPSCs replicate mechanisms of ventricular tachycardia at the tissue level. Acquired Long‐QT conditions cause early afterdepolarizations, wavebreak, and transient rotors; in contrast, focal cryoinjury forms a stable substrate that supports ongoing reentry.
