Significance of Systemic Immune‐Inflammation and Inflammatory Response Indices in Vestibular Neuritis

open access: yesClinical Otolaryngology, Volume 51, Issue 6, Page 855-860, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated the relationship between vestibular neuritis and various systemic inflammatory indices—namely, neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (MLR), systemic immune‐inflammation index (SII), and systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) and the ...

Data_Sheet_1_Symptoms in unilateral vestibular hypofunction are associated with number of catch-up saccades and retinal error: results from the population-based KORA FF4 study.pdf

open access: yes, 2023
ObjectiveThe presence and intensity of symptoms vary in patients with unilateral vestibular hypofunction. We aimed to determine which saccadic and vestibulo-ocular reflex parameters best predict the presence of symptoms in unilateral vestibular ...

Nocturnal Hypoxemia Burden Correlates With Vestibular Dysfunction in Obstructive Sleep Apnea

open access: yesClinical Otolaryngology, Volume 51, Issue 6, Page 894-901, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a potential contributor to vestibular dysfunction, though specific correlating parameters remain unclear. This study aimed to determine whether hypoxemia severity indices correlate quantitatively with caloric slow‐phase eye velocity (SPV), a marker of vestibular function. Methods In a retrospective

A gaming app developed for vestibular rehabilitation improves the accuracy of performance and engagement with exercises

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine, 2023
IntroductionVestibular hypofunction is associated with dizziness, imbalance, and blurred vision with head movement. Vestibular rehabilitation is the gold standard recommendation to decrease symptoms and improve postural stability.

Vestibular Function Pre‐ and Post‐cochlear Implantation in Adult Patients With Inner Ear Malformations: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesSensory Neuroscience, Volume 2, Issue 3, September 2026.
This study investigated vestibular function in 129 adult patients with inner ear malformations (IEMs). The superior semicircular canal showed less impairment than the horizontal and posterior canals. Notably, cochlear implantation did not significantly exacerbate vestibular dysfunction at 12 months postoperatively.
