Uniqueness of large solutions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2012
Given a nondecreasing nonlinearity $f$, we prove uniqueness of large solutions in the following two cases: the domain is the ball or the domain has nonnegative mean curvature and the nonlinearity is asymptotically convex.

Ulam-Type Stability Results for Fractional Integro-Delay Differential and Integral Equations via the ψ-Hilfer Operator

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this article, we investigate a nonlinear ψ-Hilfer fractional order Volterra integro-delay differential equation (ψ-Hilfer FRVIDDE) and a nonlinear ψ-Hilfer fractional Volterra delay integral equation (ψ-Hilfer FRVDIE), both of which incorporate ...

The Unique Periodic Solution of Abel’s Differential Equation

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2020
In this paper, the existence of a periodic solution for Abel’s differential equation is obtained first by using the fixed-point theorem. Then, by constructing the Lyapunov function, the uniqueness and stability of the periodic solution of the equation ...

Tangle analysis of difference topology experiments: applications to a Mu protein-DNA complex

open access: yes, 2007
We develop topological methods for analyzing difference topology experiments involving 3-string tangles. Difference topology is a novel technique used to unveil the structure of stable protein-DNA complexes involving two or more DNA segments.

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

Pediatric Oncology Nursing Competencies in Latin America and the Caribbean: A Scoping Review to Inform Practice, Education, and Research

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Nurses are central to cancer care for children and adolescents, yet no comprehensive synthesis has defined essential core competencies for pediatric oncology nursing (PON) practice internationally, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

On the Existence of Solutions and Ulam-Type Stability for a Nonlinear ψ-Hilfer Fractional-Order Delay Integro-Differential Equation

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this work, we address a nonlinear ψ-Hilfer fractional-order Volterra integro-differential equation that incorporates n-multiple-variable time delays.

A sausage body is a unique solution for a reverse isoperimetric problem

open access: yes, 2019
We consider the class of $\lambda$-concave bodies in $\mathbb R^{n+1}$; that is, convex bodies with the property that each of their boundary points supports a tangent ball of radius $1/\lambda$ that lies locally (around the boundary point) inside the ...

Weak-Strong Uniqueness for Measure-Valued Solutions [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2011
We prove the weak-strong uniqueness for measure-valued solutions of the incompressible Euler equations. These were introduced by R.DiPerna and A.Majda, and in particular global existence to any L2 initial data was proven. Whether measure-valued solutions agree with classical solutions if the latter exist has apparently remained open.

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...
