Decay estimates for unitary representations with applications to continuous- and discrete-time models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We present a new technique to obtain polynomial decay estimates for the matrix coefficients of unitary operators. Our approach, based on commutator methods, applies to nets of unitary operators, unitary representations of topological groups, and unitary operators given by the evolution group of a self-adjoint operator or by powers of a unitary operator.

The analysis of complex phonetic elements in Bura and the syllable

open access: yesStudies in African Linguistics, 1983
This paper examines those complex phonetic elements in Bura (and related languages such as Margi) which have been described by earlier scholars as unitary segments having a labial-alveolar double articulation.

On the Moore Formula of Compact Nilmanifolds

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2009
Let G be a connected and simply connected two-step nilpotent Lie group and Γ a lattice subgroup of G. In this note, we give a new multiplicity formula, according to the sense of Moore, of irreducible unitary representations involved in the decomposition ...

Enumerating representations of general unitary groups over principal ideal rings of length 2 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
We enumerate the number of complex irreducible representations of each degree of general unitary groups of degree 4 over principal ideal rings of length 2.

On Square-Integrable Representations of A Lie Group of 4-Dimensional Standard Filiform Lie Algebra

open access: yesCauchy: Jurnal Matematika Murni dan Aplikasi, 2020
In this paper, we study irreducible unitary representations of a real standard filiform Lie group with dimension equals 4 with respect to its basis. To find this representations we apply the orbit method introduced by Kirillov. The corresponding orbit of

Moyal Star-Product and Unitary Representations of the Euclidean Motion Group [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In this paper, the Moyal star-product quantization is used to construct the unitary irreducible representations of the Euclidean motion group on 3-dimensions. These unitary representations will come from the representation of its Lie algebra whose operators are defined by the left Moyal star-product multiplication. In fact, these representations of the

On the extensions of infinite-dimensional representations of Lie semigroups

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
The necessary and sufficient conditions have been obtained for extendability of a Banach representation of a generating Lie semigroup S to a local representation of the Lie group G generated by S when the tangent wedge of S is a Lie semialgebra. The most

Unitary representations of the quantum "ax+b" group [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
We find all unitary representations of the quantum "ax+b" group. It turns out that this quantum group is selfdual in the sense that all unitary representations are 'numbered' by elements of the same group. Moreover, we discover the formula for all unitary representations involving S.L. Woronowicz's quantum exponential function.

Reflection Positivity and Conformal Symmetry

open access: yes, 2013
The concept of reflection positivity has its origins in the work of Osterwalder--Schrader on constructive quantum field theory and duality between unitary representations of the euclidean motion group and the Poincare group.
