Irony Comprehension in Monolingual and Bilingual Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder
ABSTRACT This study examined verbal irony comprehension in monolingual and bilingual autistic children, focusing on irony recognition, intention understanding, cue use while deciphering ironic meanings, and error patterns. A low‐verbal, multimodal task was used to minimize linguistic and metalinguistic demands.

Categorization: The View from Animal Cognition
Exemplar, prototype, and rule theory have organized much of the enormous literature on categorization. From this theoretical foundation have arisen the two primary debates in the literature—the prototype-exemplar debate and the single system-multiple ...

Unitary Similarity of Nonderogatory Matrices
This paper is dedicated to the problem of verification of matrices for unitary similarity. For the case of nonderogatory matrices, we have been able to present the new solution for this problem based on geometric approach. The main advantage of this approach is stability with respect to errors in the initial upper triangular matrix.

Linear maps relating different unitary similarity orbits or different generalized numerical ranges
Let M be the complex linear space Mn of n × n complex matrices or the real linear space Hn of n × n hermitian matrices. For C ∈ M, its unitary similarity orbit is the set. U(C) = {UCU*; U unitary. and its circular unitary similarity orbit is the set. V(C)

Abstract Quality in early childhood education and care (ECEC) is a contested concept and has generally been conceptualised by inter‐related indicators such as staff qualifications, educational environment, policy or child‐to‐staff ratios. There has been a more limited emphasis on how young children might perceive and experience quality.

Animal empathy reconsidered: a multidimensional profile account
ABSTRACT Empathy is the glue that holds societies together and yet several fundamental questions about empathy persist. What is empathy (the definitional question)? Is it uniquely human and, if not, which nonhuman animals possess empathy (the distribution question)? Which type or quality of empathy is realized in different species (the quality question)

ABSTRACT Policy intervention can be a driver for industrial symbiosis (IS). However, given the wide variety of policy instruments available, policymakers should be guided in the policy design process to ensure that their intervention is effective and efficient. In this paper, we propose an agent‐based (AB) model intended to assess the effectiveness and

Decarbonization in Financial Turbulent Times: Global Value Chains and Regulatory Framework
ABSTRACT This study examines how participation in global value chains (GVCs) influences carbon emissions amid financial turbulence, with attention to cross‐country heterogeneity and distributional dynamics. Although existing research has explored trade–environment linkages, limited attention has been given to how GVC integration interacts with ...
