Awareness of the concept of universal design in design education

open access: yes, 2012
Design professions, principally architecture, interior architecture, landscape design, industrial design and graphic design have to attach importance to create environments and products that derives an accessible design by all user groups.

XTRUDE: A Process‐Informed Framework for High‐Fidelity Analysis of Hydrogel Extrusion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Extrusion performance emerges from the interplay between material properties and processing conditions. XTRUDE (eXTrusion Rheology for Understanding and Defining Extrudability) recreates the extrusion environment with in situ pressure and temperature sensing, enabling characteristic pressure signatures to quantify extrusion‐specific phenomena and ...

Accessibility of Entrepreneurship Training Programs for Individuals with Disabilities: A Literature Review

open access: yesAdministrative Sciences
Entrepreneurial endeavours often begin with entrepreneurship training. Such trainings, however, remain largely inaccessible to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and thus, their entrepreneurial potential remains untapped.

Interactive design principles : online communities and the user experience\ud

open access: yes, 2007
This paper identifies interactive design principles through user experience via online communities that will allow web site designers to create compelling, useful and truly interactive user experiences. There are many features of online communities that

Unified Pressure and Field Response Across Distinct Charge‐Order Regimes in Ti‐Doped CsV3Sb5

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We microscopically investigate the interplay between charge order and superconductivity in a kagome superconductor across regimes of long‐ and short‐range charge order. Hydrostatic‐pressure and magnetic‐field μSR$\mu{\rm SR}$ measurements reveal remarkably similar superconducting and normal‐state time‐reversal‐symmetry‐breaking responses in both ...

Magneto‐Ionic Devices With Polymer‐Based Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer electrolytes are introduced for magneto‐ionic devices based on hydroxide and hydrogen ions. The magneto‐ionic effect results in a pronounced voltage‐controlled variation of coercivity in both devices. The switching speed is in the range of 100 ms.

Unexpected Asymmetric Mn‐Sb Site Mixing and Reentrant Spin‐Glass State of MnSb2Te4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MnSb2Te4 is an intrinsic magnetic topological insulator. Its properties are extraordinarily sensitive to tiny defects, making structural studies essential for understanding how magnetism and topology work together. This work shows that Mn can be unevenly distributed within the crystal and how that disorder is linked to a newly reported spin‐glass state

Aging in Place in Jordan: Assessing Home Modifications, Accessibility Barriers, and Cultural Constraints

open access: yesBuildings
Jordan’s aging population faces a critical challenge: a strong cultural preference for aging at home, rooted in Islamic ethics of familial care (birr al-wālidayn), conflicts with housing stock that is largely unsafe and inaccessible.
