Critical dynamics in thin films [PDF]
Critical dynamics in film geometry is analyzed within the field-theoretical approach. In particular we consider the case of purely relaxational dynamics (Model A) and Dirichlet boundary conditions, corresponding to the so-called ordinary surface ...

Universal activation function for machine learning [PDF]
AbstractThis article proposes a universal activation function (UAF) that achieves near optimal performance in quantification, classification, and reinforcement learning (RL) problems. For any given problem, the gradient descent algorithms are able to evolve the UAF to a suitable activation function by tuning the UAF’s parameters.

Digital fixed points, approximate fixed points, and universal functions
A. Rosenfeld [23] introduced the notion of a digitally continuous function between digital images, and showed that although digital images need not have fixed point properties analogous to those of the Euclidean spaces modeled by the images, there often ...

Symmetric universal character, integrable hierarchy, and affine Yangian of gl(1)
We define a symmetric universal character by using the affine Yangian of gl(1), which is related with a pair of 2D Young diagram which is considered as 3D Young diagrams with only one layer in z-axis direction.

Total reflection coefficients of low-energy photons presented as universal functions [PDF]
The possibility of expressing the total particle and energy reflection coefficients of low-energy photons in the form of universal functions valid for different shielding materials is investigated in this paper. The analysis is based on the results of

Restricted T-Universal Functions
Let \(G \subset\mathbb C\) be a domain and \(\zeta\in \partial G\). A function \(\varphi\) is called \(T_\zeta\)-universal on \(G\) if it is holomorphic on \(G\) and satisfies the following property: For all compact sets \(K\) with connected complement and all complex valued functions \(f\) on \(K\) there exist sequences \(\{a_n\}\) and \(\{b_n ...

Universal behavior of quantum Green's functions
We consider a general one-particle Hamiltonian H = - \Delta_r + u(r) defined in a d-dimensional domain. The object of interest is the time-independent Green function G_z(r,r') = .

Extra-Neutralizing FcR-Mediated Antibody Functions for a Universal Influenza Vaccine
While neutralizing antibody titers measured by hemagglutination inhibition have been proposed as a correlate of protection following influenza vaccination, neutralization alone is a modest predictor of protection against seasonal influenza.

Universal fermionic spectral functions from string theory
We carry out the first holographic calculation of a fermionic response function for a strongly coupled $d=3$ system with an explicit D=10 or D=11 supergravity dual.

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.
