Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Minkowski metrics in creating universal ranking algorithms [PDF]
The paper presents a general procedure for creating the rankings of a set of objects, while the relation of preference based on any ranking function. The analysis was possible to use the ranking functions began by showing the fundamental drawbacks of ...

Algebraic special functions and so(3,2)
A ladder structure of operators is presented for the associated Legendre polynomials and the spherical harmonics showing that both belong to the same irreducible representation of so(3,2).

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The Universal Generating Function of Analytical Poisson Structures
The notion of generating functions of Poisson structures was first studied in math.SG/0312380.They are special functions which induce, on open subsets of $\R^d$, a Poisson structure together with the local symplectic groupoid integrating it.

Multiply Universal Holomorphic Functions
The problem of the existence of so-called ``universal functions'' (compare W. Luh, Holomorphic monsters. [J. Approximation Theory 53, No. 2, 128-144 (1988; Zbl 0669.30020)] for the notations and the history of the topic) is generalized. The main result is the following: Let \({\mathcal O} \subset\mathbb{C}\), \({\mathcal O} \neq\mathbb{C}\), be an open

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Three types of dual Grothendieck universal characters and integrable systems
We construct vertex operator realizations of the π-type dual Grothendieck universal characters with partitions π=(3),π=(2,1) and π=(13). Furthermore, these three types of dual Grothendieck universal characters are extended to their multiparameter ...
