Development and Simulation of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
2022The proper design of the UAV will enable the system to meet its service and functional requirements. It will also promote its availability and reliability, thereby extending its useful life in service. This work focuses on the development, sizing of an engine, and simulation of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), including the assembly of the whole ...

Formation of a group of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
Proceedings of the 2001 American Control Conference. (Cat. No.01CH37148), 2001In this paper, control laws are designed to achieve desired flight formations for a group of unmanned (uninhabited) aerial vehicles (UAVs). It is proposed that the formation is led and managed by a leader UAV, which determines desired (for instance, safe and achievable) flight trajectories for a group of follower UAVs.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in Future Communication System
2021 26th IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC), 2021Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is increasingly becoming a promising tool in communication system. On one hand, UAV has been used as an aerial communication platform to provide wireless communications. On the other hand, UAV has been employed as an aerial user equipment to perform arbitrary missions.

Fast and robust photomapping with an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
2009 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2009A fast and robust method for visual odometry based on the Fourier-Mellin Invariant (FMI) descriptor is presented. It extends previous FMI based approaches in two ways. First, a logarithmic representation of the spectral magnitude of the FMI descriptor is used. Second, a filter on the frequency where the shift is supposed to appear is applied.

MM-UAV: Mobile Manipulating Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems, 2011Given significant mobility advantages, UAVs have access to many locations that would be impossible for an unmanned ground vehicle to reach, but UAV research has historically focused on avoiding interactions with the environment. Recent advances in UAV size to payload and manipulator weight to payload ratios suggest the possibility of integration in the

A survey of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for traffic monitoring
2013 International Conference on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (ICUAS), 2013The focus of this paper is on surveying UAV-based systems for traffic monitoring and management. Although there has been voluminous research on the subject, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are proven to be a viable and less time-consuming alternative to real-time traffic monitoring and management, providing the eye-in-the-sky solution to the problem.
