ACSL4‐Dependent Lysosomal Lipid Peroxidation Links WTAP‐Mediated m6A Modification to Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IL‐1β upregulates the protein level of WTAP, which promotes the m6A modification of ACSL4 mRNA in an IGF2BP2‐dependent manner, thereby enhancing its stability. The increased ACSL4 drives lipid peroxidation, leading to lysosomal membrane permeabilization (LMP) and impaired mitophagy, which collectively accelerate intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD).

Dialkyl Ethers and Sacrificial Zinc: Oxide Synthons for Calcium tert‐Butoxide Formation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
When treated with dialkyl ethers, [(BDI)Ca‐μ‐H‐Zn(t‐Bu)2(η6‐C7H8)] (BDI = HC{C(Me)NDipp}2 initiates a sequence of twofold ether dealkylation and oxide sequestration as tert‐butoxide in a process predicated on a combination of extreme basicity and a cooperative redox process administered by the dissimilar constituent metals. Chemotherapy‐Activated GSK3β‐DNMT1 Signaling Upregulates CD47 to Evade Macrophage Phagocytosis and Drive Temozolomide Resistance in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temozolomide treatment activates GSK3β, driving DNMT1 phosphorylation, destabilization, and CD47 promoter hypomethylation in glioblastoma. This epigenetic shift upregulates CD47, enabling TMZ‐treated GBM cells to evade macrophage phagocytosis, survive chemotherapy, and acquire resistance.

Ladybird beetles - recent immigrants to Florida (Insecta: Coleoptera: Coccinellidae)

open access: yesEDIS, 2013
Since the publication of the Florida beetles checklist, a few ladybird beetles have become established in the state, some well-known and extensively documented and some little noticed and previously unreported.

Asymmetric Fluorinated Spiro Hole‐Transport Materials Enabled by a Rapid Core‐Forming Strategy for Blade‐Coated Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Facile synthesis of asymmetric fluorinated spiro‐type HTMs combined with blade‐coating fabrication and vacuum‐assisted crystallization enables high‐efficiency PSCs with PCEs of 24.49% (0.09 cm2) and 23.28% (1.00 cm2), along with excellent stability.

Chiroptical Switching by Stereoselective Photochemical Sigmatropic Rearrangements: Experimental Realization of Calderoselectivity

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Calderoselectivity is established as a stereochemical principle for sigmatropic rearrangements. A homoannulene‐based chiroptical photoswitch undergoes a photochemical [1,11] sigmatropic rearrangement with control of the acyl movement on top of the cyclic π system.

Potential‐Controlled Ammonium‐Assisted Reversible Electrodeposition of Polyoxometalates for Hybrid Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Potential‐controlled NH4+‐assisted reversible electrodeposition of molecular metal oxide clusters enables dynamic solution‐to‐solid electron storage. Leveraging this deposition/dissolution reaction chemistry, polyoxometalate‐based hybrid flow batteries are demonstrated as a new platform for deposition‐based electrochemical energy storage.

Magnetoreceptor Promotes Hepatocellular Carcinoma Development and Blunts Sorafenib‐Induced Ferroptosis by Regulating Iron Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetoreceptor (MagR) regulates iron homeostasis and mitochondrial function in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. Specifically, MagR deficiency suppresses tumor cell proliferation, migration, and invasion and enhances sorafenib‐induced ferroptosis through iron accumulation.
