The scalable synthesis of target molecules is crucial for applications such as biological evaluation in medicinal chemistry and even industrial production. We described recent advances in chiral Brønsted acid–catalyzed asymmetric allylboration, which enables access to previously elusive chiral building blocks, and highlight its application to the ...

ABSTRACT Prostate cancer (PCa) is an endocrine‐related cancer highly dependent on androgenic signaling. Beyond hormone dependence, extrinsic factors play a significant role in the risk of developing PCa, which raises concern about the influence of environmental compounds such as endocrine‐disrupting chemicals (EDCs). Tributyltin (TBT) is an EDC used in

Basal anti-heave stability of foundation pits in unsaturated soils
It is known that the soils surrounding a foundation pit are commonly in an unsaturated condition and the displacement of a retaining wall routinely rotates around wall bottom (i.e., RB displacement mode). The bearing capacity of strip foundations at wall

Consolidation Apparatus for Testing Unsaturated Soils
Abstract An apparatus for performing consolidation tests under K0 conditions was designed and constructed for testing unsaturated soils. Three types of consolidation tests are of interest in unsaturated soils. These are: (1) constant water content loading tests, (2) consolidation under a net total stress, and (3) consolidation under a ...

ABSTRACT This study presents the first GC‐MS–based analyses of wide horizontal rim vessels with well‐defined funerary contexts, from Middle Bronze Age Portugal (Quinta do Amorim 2 and Pego). Organic residues from two vessels revealed ruminant fats and plant oils, alongside molecular markers of heat exposure.

ABSTRACT This study focuses on two terracotta incense burners discovered in the Daba Al‐Bayah necropolis in the Musandam Peninsula (Oman), associated with an Iron Age collective tomb (LCG‐2). Through gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC‐MS), the organic residues preserved within these artifacts were analyzed to investigate their use and ...

Modelling the effects of pore-water chemistry on the behaviour of unsaturated clays
Due to their various applications in geo-environmental engineering, such as in landfill and nuclear waste disposals, the coupled chemo-hydro-mechanical analysis of expansive soils has gained more and more attention recently.
