The choice to accept or reject an available gap at unsignalized intersections depends on several factors that include driver and vehicle characteristics, intersection geometry, weather conditions, etc. Although drivers in heterogeneous traffic conditions

Generalized gap acceptance models for unsignalized intersections [PDF]
This paper contributes to the modeling and analysis of unsignalized intersections. In classical gap acceptance models vehicles on the minor road accept any gap greater than the CRITICAL gap, and reject gaps below this threshold, where the gap is the time between two subsequent vehicles on the major road.

Updating Unsignalized Intersection Performance: A Case Study in Indonesian Cities
This paper focuses on updating the performance of unsignalized intersections based on the 1997 Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM). More than two decades since its publication, IHCM has never been updated although changes in traffic characteristics

Increasing the Capacity of the Unsignalized Three Way Petir Intersection, Serang Regency [PDF]
Population growth increases every year, especially in Serang Regency, causing traffic problems including accidents, congestion, or being faced with conditions of frequent road scrambling.

Unsignalized intersections belong to the most common ways of traffic management at intersections. The capacity of the minor entries depends on many factors. One of them is the traffic flow pattern on the major street.

Modeling Traffic Flow at an Urban Unsignalized Intersection [PDF]
This paper proposes a new way to study traffic flow at an urban unsignalised intersection, through detailed space considerations, using cellular automata (CA). Heterogeneity and inconsistency are simulated by incorporation of different categories of driver behaviour and reassignment of categories with given probabilities at each time step.

Cooperative Driving at Unsignalized Intersections Using Tree Search [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a new cooperative driving strategy for connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) at unsignalized intersections. Based on the tree representation of the solution space for the passing order, we combine Monte Carlo tree search (MCTS) and some heuristic rules to find a nearly global-optimal passing order (leaf node) within a very ...
