Unstable Behavior of Electrostatic Particle Deposition.

Unstable Behavior in Exploding Wire Array
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 2000Although considerable investigations have been reported on z-pinches to achieve nuclear fusion, little attention has been given from the point of view of how a wire array consisting of many parallel wires explodes. In this paper, the unstable behavior of a wire array is investigated.

Unstable behavior of plasma in inductive discharges
IEEE Conference Record - Abstracts. 1999 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science. 26th IEEE International Conference (Cat. No.99CH36297), 2003Summary form only given. Instabilities in a transformer coupled plasma (TCP) source have been studied. An inductive discharge has been created by a 13.56 MHz RF-driven planar inductive coil mounted on the top of an aluminum cylindrical vacuum chamber.

Engineering Fracture Mechanics, 2018
Abstract The unstable cracking behavior in nanoscale single crystal silicon, including initiation, unstable propagation and arrest, is experimentally observed by using a nanoscale trapezoidal-double-cantilever-beam method. A well-controlled multi-step cracking experiment is designed for accurately estimating both the fracture toughness K Ic

Foreign Trade Behavior in Thailand: Stable or Unstable?
The American Economist, 2000This paper analyzes the demand for import and export functions of Thailand. It provides new evidence on both cointegration and the stability of the long-run relationship between trade flows and their determinants. Cointegration analyses are based on the Johansen (1992, 1995) system approach and the FM-OLS by Phillips and Hansen (1990) technique ...

On the unstable behavior of cement grinding circuits
1999 European Control Conference (ECC), 1999The present work deals with new observations made on a grinding plant of CBR (Mons, Belgium), which reveal an unstable behavior of the process due to the classifier. In particular, the influence of the flow rate entering the classifier is highlighted. The dynamic simulator developed and validated in a previous study is extended to include a new model ...

Prediction of dynamical, nonlinear, and unstable process behavior
The Journal of Supercomputing, 2008Process scheduling techniques consider the current load situation to allocate computing resources. Those techniques make approximations such as the average of communication, processing, and memory access to improve the process scheduling, although processes may present different behaviors during their whole execution.

Behavior of unstable atoms in applied fields
Physical Review A, 1979The leading radiative corrections to the behavior of atoms in time-dependent electromagnetic fields are considered. The results are expressed in closed form for the resonant measurement of the Lamb shift and fine structure of the n=2 levels of hydrogen.

Nonlinear behavior of linearly unstable magnetohydrodynamic modes
The Physics of Fluids, 1978It can be shown that for linearly unstable magnetohydrodynamic modes near the threshold of linear instability, the mode amplitude A (t) evolves according to ∂2A/Λt2 =λ2A+αA3 which can lead to nonlinear stabilization, explosive instability, or eventual decay, depending on the sign of α.

ANALYSIS OF UNSTABLE BEHAVIOR OF PNEUMATIC CONVEYING SYSTEMS
Particulate Science and Technology, 1999ABSTRACT The unstable conveying zone has been recognized by many authors in their attempts to define the minimum conveying velocitv on the dilute phase side of this zone. It was found that the gas flow rate influences the magnitude and frequency of the pressure fluctuations experienced during this type of flow.
