Prediction of dynamical, nonlinear, and unstable process behavior

The Journal of Supercomputing, 2008
Process scheduling techniques consider the current load situation to allocate computing resources. Those techniques make approximations such as the average of communication, processing, and memory access to improve the process scheduling, although processes may present different behaviors during their whole execution.

Unstable Behavior in Exploding Wire Array

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 2000
Although considerable investigations have been reported on z-pinches to achieve nuclear fusion, little attention has been given from the point of view of how a wire array consisting of many parallel wires explodes. In this paper, the unstable behavior of a wire array is investigated.

Unstable Behavior of Electrostatic Particle Deposition.

KAGAKU KOGAKU RONBUNSHU, 2002

Unstable behavior of plasma in inductive discharges

IEEE Conference Record - Abstracts. 1999 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science. 26th IEEE International Conference (Cat. No.99CH36297), 2003
Summary form only given. Instabilities in a transformer coupled plasma (TCP) source have been studied. An inductive discharge has been created by a 13.56 MHz RF-driven planar inductive coil mounted on the top of an aluminum cylindrical vacuum chamber.

Prediction of unstable behavior in enzymatic diffusion-reaction Processes

Proceedings of the 45th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2006
The prediction of the behavior of biological mechanisms represents an important challenge in the comprehension of some disorders in living organisms. In this sense a better understanding of the system behavior is mandatory. In this paper we use mathematical tools and well established concepts of nonlinear dynamics and control for modeling and ...

Introduction to Unstable Processes and Their Asymptotic Behavior

2020
The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the reader to the basic concepts related to unstable processes. To convince the reader that stochastically unstable processes are an important subject for consideration, let us continue with further definitions and visualizations.

Application of FIDF to the detection of unstable behaviors in compression systems

Proceedings of the 39th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.00CH37187), 2002
Issues concerning the detection of surge and rotating stall in a compression system are studied. It is observed that the plenum pressure rise and mass flow rate of a compression system exhibit abrupt change due to the appearance of surge or rotating stall, while those of it's linearized model do not.

The longtime behavior of a pulse in an unstable plasma

Plasma Physics, 1970
A method of asymptotic expansion is applied to the Vlasov-Maxwell set of equations to determine the characteristics of a pulse propagating in an unstable plasma. The results obtained are identical to those obtained by previous authors using transform methods coupled with the method of steepest descent.

Behavior of unstable atoms in applied fields

Physical Review A, 1979
The leading radiative corrections to the behavior of atoms in time-dependent electromagnetic fields are considered. The results are expressed in closed form for the resonant measurement of the Lamb shift and fine structure of the n=2 levels of hydrogen.

Development of a Method for Controlling Unstable Vehicle Behavior

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2007
<div class="htmlview paragraph">It is important to estimate the vehicle state accurately in order to control vehicle behavior. In this study, we used the vehicle sideslip angle as a value indicating vehicle instability. A new method was developed that can estimate the sideslip angle accurately without being affected by driving conditions.
