Resonance‐induced restoration of rock permeability degraded by heavy components of crude oil

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 556-566, June 2026.
Resonance‐induced changes occur in filtration properties of sedimentary rocks in crude paraffin oil flow under acoustic vibrations. Experimental data on (a) pressure drop; (b) permeability; (c) pressure at the rock inlet; and (d) pressure at the rock outlet are presented.

Entropy Optimization in Transient Hydromagnetics Laminar Flow Through a Vertical Stream With Emission of Thermal Energy and Temperature‐Dependent Properties Governed by Newtonian Cooling

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study investigates entropy production in transient hydromagnetic laminar flow through a vertical channel embedded in a porous channel with temperature‐dependent properties under Newtonian cooling. Increasing magnetic field strength reduces velocity, temperature, and entropy production, enhancing thermodynamic performance.

Computational Rheo‐Hydrodynamic Analysis of Non‐Newtonian Blood Flow Through a Tilted Ellipsoidal Stenosed Vascular Segment

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
Non‐Newtonian blood flow through multiple tilted ellipsoidal stenoses is numerically investigated using the DeKee‐Turcotte‐Papanastasiou model. The results reveal asymmetric velocity fields, elevated wall shear stress, significant pressure drops, and shear‐dependent thermal effects, highlighting the critical hemodynamic risks associated with eccentric ...

Influence of Symmetric Multi‐Overlapping Stenosis on Carreau Blood Rheology: A 3D Computational Study

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
Graphical summary of the proposed problem. ABSTRACT Arterial conduits with more than two consecutive constrictions are classified as exhibiting multiple overlapped stenoses, a pathological morphology with critical implications for vascular health. Accurate comprehension of the associated hemodynamic behavior necessitates advanced geometric modeling and
