Darcy Forchheimer nanofluid thin film flow of SWCNTs and heat transfer analysis over an unsteady stretching sheet

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
This article analyzes the Darcy Forchheimer 2D thin film fluid of nanoliquid. Flow of nanoliquid is made due to a flat unsteady stretchable sheet. In nanoliquids, nanomaterial is in form of CNTs (carbon nanotubes).

Temperature‐Resilient Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function Driven by Pulse Modulation Using CMOS‐Integrated Spintronic Chips

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable physical unclonable function is developed using CMOS‐integrated SOT‐MRAM chips, leveraging a dual‐pulse strategy and offering enhanced environmental robustness. A temperature‐compensation effect arising from the CMOS transistor and SOT‐MTJ is revealed and established as a key prerequisite for thermal resilience.

Effects of modifying the blade trailing edge profile on unsteady pressure pulsations and flow structures in a centrifugal pump

open access: yesInternational Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow, 2019
In the present work, the effects of modifying the blade pressure side (EPS profile) on unsteady pressure pulsations and flow structures in a low specific speed centrifugal pump are carried out by experimental and numerical methods.

Modeling the separation of water‐in‐oil emulsions in continuously fed gravity settlers using millifluidic experiments

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Emulsion separation remains a persistent challenge in chemical and process industries due to the metastable nature of dispersed droplets. In gravity separators, the overall separation rate is governed by the formation of a densely packed zone (DPZ) of deforming and coalescing droplets that mediates between the dispersed and continuous phases ...

A new drag and lift correlation for spherocylinders from fully resolved Immersed Boundary Method

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Many industrial processes deal with non‐spherical particles, e.g., mineral mining and biomass conversion. It is crucial to understand the particles' hydrodynamics to control and optimize these processes. To extend the current state‐of‐the‐art from arrays of spherical particles to spherocylindrical particles, we performed extensive particle ...

Resolving passive heat transfer and phase‐change heat in cryogenic CO2 deposition (Desublimation) from CO2/N2 mixtures

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract In cryogenic CO2 desublimation systems where phase change dominates both heat transfer and separation, conventional lumped thermal‐resistance treatments embed interfacial latent heat into an overall heat‐transfer coefficient, obscuring how phase‐change heat is partitioned between the gas phase and the coolant and limiting diagnostic insight ...

Unsteady characteristics of S-duct intake flow distortion

open access: yesAerospace Science and Technology, 2019
The unsteady distorted flow fields generated within convoluted intakes can have a detrimental effect on the stability of an aero-engine. The frequency signature in the distorted flow field is of key importance to the engine's response. In this work, time-
