Diversity-enhanced multicarrier transmission for secure, band-limited, and turbulent UOWC systems.

Optics Letters
Low-pass band limitation and turbulence are two critical issues faced by practical underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) systems. In this Letter, we propose an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based diversity-enhanced ...

Design and Implementation of Automatic Beam Alignment System for LD-PMT Based UOWC

2025 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC)
This paper demonstrates an automatic beam alignment system for a laser diode (LD)-photomultiplier tube (PMT) based underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) system. Initially, the imaging characteristics of the underwater laser spot are described.

Mse-Reduced Uowc Using Uneven Pam4 and Piecewise Linear Equalizer

2025 30th OptoElectronics and Communications Conference (OECC) and 2025 International Conference on Photonics in Switching and Computing (PSC)
We experimentally demonstrate a UOWC system using uneven PAM4 scheme with a piecewise linear equalizer, achieving a 94.5% reduction of mean squared error, which matches the standard quality assessment for image and video transmissions.
