On the Physical Layer Security of a Regenerative Relay-Based mixed RF/UOWC

2019 International Conference on Advanced Communication Technologies and Networking (CommNet), 2019
This paper investigates the secrecy outage performance of a dual-hop decode-and-forward (DF) mixed radio-frequency/underwater optical wireless communication (RF/UOWC) system. We consider a one-antenna source node ( $S$ ), communicating with one legitimate destination node (D) via a multi-antenna DF relay (R) node.

Deep-Learning-Assisted Turbulence-Resistant 1024-Ary OAM-SK UOWC

2025 30th OptoElectronics and Communications Conference (OECC) and 2025 International Conference on Photonics in Switching and Computing (PSC)
We demonstrate a deep-learning-assisted turbulence-resistant 1024-ary OAM-SK UOWC system. BER of $2.93 \times 10^{-3}$ is experimentally observed under strong turbulence condition, when the training set is limited only to 1024 distorted images.

A combinding PAPR reduction method for DCO-OFDM UOWC

2018 Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP), 2018
Optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has been adopted in underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) system, to achieve high data rate and huge bandwidth, as well as to deal with the problem of inter symbol interference.

Transmit laser selection for dual hop decode and forward UOWC cooperative communication

2020 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), 2020
Underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) is an alternative to the existing acoustic and radio frequency (RF) underwater communication. In this paper, advanced schemes of UOWC like transmit laser selection (TLS) and TLS combined with optical spatial modulation (TLS-OSM) are proposed for weak oceanic turbulence based UOWC cooperative ...
