Development of efficient polymer films with upconversion particles

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019
Abstract In this work, the polymer film based on the upconversion particles doped Er3+ and Yb3+ ions and polyethylene was obtained byusing extrusion and hot pressing methods. Upconversion luminescence spectra of polymer films were recorded in the visible spectral range upon excitation by laser radiation at wavelengths of 972 nm and 1532 ...

Luminescent materials as spectral converters: Power dependent profiling of solid NaYF4:Yb3+, Er3+UCNP reveals highly efficient UVA–Blue emission

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2020
Upconversion is a common process in lanthanides-based materials in which absorption of multiple low energy photons result in a high energy one. The emission spectrum is frequently tuned by changing the composition of the material.

Coating on Upconversion Emissive Nano-particles with Photocuring Resin

open access: yesJournal of Photopolymer Science and Technology, 2007
A coating technology for forming a nano-thickness hydrophobic polymer on upconversion nanophoshpors was developed. A mixed resin with pentaerythritol tetraacrylate and triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate was photocured on the surface of the upconversion phosphor particles with 200 nm size to form a solid coating film with 80 nm.

Study of energy transfer processes between rare earth ions and photosensitizer molecules for photodynamic therapy with IR-excitation

open access: yesBiomedical Photonics, 2022
Today, photodynamic therapy is one of the most promising minimally invasive methods of treatment of various diseases, including cancer. The main limitation of this method is the insufficient penetration into the tissue of laser radiation used to activate

Efficient Lithium-Based Upconversion Nanoparticles for Single-Particle Imaging and Temperature Sensing

open access: yesMaterials, 2023
Upconversion Nanoparticles (UCNPs) have attracted exceptional attention due to their great potential in high-contrast, free-background biofluorescence deep tissue imaging and quantum sensing. Most of these interesting studies have been performed using an ensemble of UCNPs as fluorescent probes in bioapplications.
