Solving ill-posed bilevel programs [PDF]
This paper deals with ill-posed bilevel programs, i.e., problems admitting multiple lower-level solutions for some upper-level parameters. Many publications have been devoted to the standard optimistic case of this problem, where the difficulty is ...

On Fuzzy Differential Inequalities with Upper and Lower Solutions
In this article, by using the technique of upper and lower solutions, some comparison results for first-order fuzzy differential equations are established. Hukuhara derivative, Hukuhara difference, and partial orderings are used for proving theorems. We extend our results to initial time difference case as well.

On the nonlocal Fisher-KPP equation: steady states, spreading speed and global bounds
We consider the Fisher-KPP equation with a non-local interaction term. We establish a condition on the interaction that allows for existence of non-constant periodic solutions, and prove uniform upper bounds for the solutions of the Cauchy problem, as ...

Upper and Lower Solutions and Multiplicity Results
Using the topological degree theory, the author obtains some multiplicity results for the second-order differential equation \(x''=f(t,x,x')\), with both linear (periodic and Neumann) and nonlinear boundary conditions. Here, \(f:[a,b]\times \mathbb{R}^2 \to \mathbb{R}\) is continuous and satisfies certain growth conditions.

Lower and Upper Solutions Method for Positive Solutions of Fractional Boundary Value Problems [PDF]
We apply the lower and upper solutions method and fixed-point theorems to prove the existence of positive solution to fractional boundary value problemD0+αut+ft,ut=0,0<t<1,2<α≤3,u0=u′0=0,D0+α−1u1=βuξ,0<ξ<1, whereD0+αdenotes Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative,βis positive real number,βξα−1≥2Γα, andfis continuous on0,1×0,∞.

Upper and Lower Solutions for a Generalized Emden-Fowler Equation
The paper deals with the problem \(u''+ g(t,u)= 0\), \(u(0)= u(1)= 0\), where the function \(g\) can be singular at \(t=0\), \(t=1\) and \(u=0\). The authors prove the existence of positive solution of this problem, supposing in the main that nonlinearity has to become large enough when \(u\) goes to zero and singularity has to be small enough so that ...

Abstract Introduction The TEDDI trial tested the feasibility and reproducibility of deep‐inspiration breath‐hold (DIBH) in pediatric patients referred for radiotherapy. This report presents final results, including patient‐reported outcomes (PRO) and dosimetric comparison of DIBH and free‐breathing (FB).

ABSTRACT Background The delipid extracorporeal lipoprotein filter from plasma (DELP) treatment can effectively reduce blood lipid, increase blood flow, and improve neurological deficits in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, its effect on vision and retinal microcirculation in stroke patients has never been reported.
