Integrated Analysis of HER2 Expression and ERBB2 Alterations in Bladder Cancer
Integrated analysis of 445 bladder cancers showed that HER2 membrane expression and ERBB2 amplification are distinct features. HER2 expression overlapped with NECTIN4 expression, whereas ERBB2 amplification was enriched in the LumU subtype and associated with poor prognosis.

Concurrent Preoperative Presence of Hydronephrosis and Flank Pain Independently Predicts Worse Outcome of Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma. [PDF]
To investigate the impact of preoperative hydronephrosis and flank pain on prognosis of patients with upper tract urothelial carcinoma. In total, 472 patients with upper tract urothelial carcinoma managed by radical nephroureterectomy were included from ...

Refining risk stratification after indeterminate urinary cytology: Evidence from Bladder EpiCheck
Abstract Background This study aimed to evaluate Bladder EpiCheck (BE) performance in detecting urothelial carcinoma (UC) and HG (high‐grade) events in patients with indeterminate cytology and negative cystoscopy. Methods This prospective study included 63 patients who presented with indeterminate urinary cytology and negative cystoscopy between ...

ABSTRACT Nephrogenic adenoma (NA) is a benign lesion of the genitourinary tract that may mimic malignancy both clinically and histologically. The fibromyxoid variant (FMNA), characterized by spindled cells in myxoid stroma, presents additional diagnostic challenges due to its rarity and overlapping features with renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and feasibility of a novel technique involving the use of the two‐micron thulium fibre laser (Tm‐laser) to perform bladder cuff excision (BCE) during radical nephroureterectomy (RNU). We conducted a retrospective review of all patients undergoing RNU with BCE for upper tract urothelial carcinoma

Brain metastasis from renal urothelial carcinoma successfully treated by metastasectomy
Upper tract urothelial cancer (UTUC) arises from the urothelial lining of the urinary tract. UTUC spreads in several different ways including direct invasion, lymphatic spread, and hematogeneous metastases.

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...
