A Systemic Model for Understanding Business Interactions With Biodiversity and Ecosystems
ABSTRACT Biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation represent critical threats to human well‐being and economic resilience, challenging businesses to understand and manage their interdependence with natural systems. This study develops a systemic framework—the BioModel—that elucidates the reciprocal relationship between businesses, biodiversity, and ...

The critical role of hydrogen on the stability of oxy-hydroxyl defect clusters in uranium oxide
Despite considerable work applying ab initio techniques to model the role of defects on mechanical, structural and electronic properties of oxides, there has been little on the role of trapped hydrogen, despite it being virtually always present.

Dapagliflozin alleviates high‐fat‐induced obesity cardiomyopathy by inhibiting ferroptosis
Abstract Aim: Dapagliflozin (Dapa) is a novel hypoglycaemic agent with multiple cardiovascular protective effects, and it is widely used in treatment of heart failure patients, but whether it can improve obese phenotype of heart failure and its mechanism is still unclear.

Thermal transport study in actinide oxides with point defects
We use a molecular dynamics simulation to explore thermal transport in oxide nuclear fuels with point defects. The effect of vacancy and substitutional defects on the thermal conductivity of plutonium dioxide and uranium dioxide is investigated.

Phosphate and fluoride removal options for Hanford high‐level waste sludge processing
Abstract High‐phosphate and high‐fluoride sludges represent some of the most challenging waste streams within the Hanford High‐Level Waste (HLW) inventory due to solubility constraints, impacts on glass loading, and corrosion risks during vitrification.
