Joint Control of Radiated and Surface Waves via Space‐Time Coding Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A unified space‐time coding metasurface platform enables simultaneous control of radiated and surface‐confined waves across multiple harmonics. Demonstrated functionalities include multi‐frequency beam shaping; surface‐wave excitation, and hybrid multiplexing.

Index-based Approach in Relation to Built-up and LST Dynamics; A Study of Lahore, Pakistan

open access: yesInternational Journal of Economic and Environment Geology, 2021
In 21st century, cities outpaced in size and also in density due to development of economic sector. Consequently, the wide spread expansion of urban areas is resulting in the loss of productive green cover and water ...

Place Construction and Urban Social Transformation : An Actor Network Theory Analysis for Creative Kampong Phenomena in Bandung [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
How built environment plays role in social transformation? This question is one concern of social-constructivism approach in study of place. Place construction studies focus on space that socially constructed and social that spatially constructed.

Engineering Relative Spatial Structure of Dual Atomic Sites with Asymmetric Coordination for High‐Performance Hydrogen Evolution Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dual‐atom catalysts featuring varying spatial configurations of metal sites (Pt1Fe1 DACs) are employed to systematically investigate the influence of spatial arrangements on the electronic structure and catalytic activity of active sites. Notably, the 3D asymmetric Pt1Fe1‐TAC dimer, featuring strong interatomic interactions, demonstrates superior ...

Religion and politics of belonging in digital times: youth religiosity in focus

open access: yesFrontiers in Political Science
Political responses to growing diversity are often characterised by one-dimensional attempts to pin down a collective identity. In stark contrast, we see that young people in diverse urban areas negotiate their multiple, flexible belonging both on- and ...

Upcycling of Disposable Face Masks into Water‐Resistant and Flame Retardant Foams

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Disposable mask waste is upcycled into lightweight polypropylene‐based foams with tunable porosity and composite architectures reinforced by ear‐loop fibers. The sustainable solvent‐based process enables upcycling rates of 91% and solvent recovery of >90%.

Liberalism, Neo-Liberalism and Urban Governance: A State Theoretical Perspective. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper discusses the recurrence and the recurrent limitations of liberalism as a general discourse, strategy, and regime. It then establishes a continuum of neoliberalism ranging from a project for radical system transformation from state socialism ...

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Spin‐Dependent Generation of Surface‐Bound Radicals Toward Selective and Long‐Lasting Water Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a novel atomic engineering strategy to fine‐tune the spin state of α‐Fe2O3 catalysts toward a medium‐spin state, thereby modulating peroxymonosulfate activation and selectively yielding surface‐bound radicals. Compared with free radicals, surface‐bound radicals exhibit moderated oxidation potential, extended lifespan, surface ...
