Advanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.GMO cubosomes and DOPE hexosomes interact differently with lipid membranes: cubosomes exchange lipid molecules with the membranes, destabilizing them when the membranes do not contain cholesterol. Hexosomes interact more gently with membranes and tend to fuse and incorporate into them.
