The effect of dietary nitrogen on nitrogen partitioning and milk production in grazing dairy cows : A thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the Master of Animal Science at Massey University Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Two experiments were conducted during spring (8th October to 12th November 2009) as part of a larger study, to study the effects of increasing levels of crude protein (CP) in pasture on milk production, dry matter intake (DMI) and nitrogen (N ...

A Biochar-Based Route for Environmentally Friendly Controlled Release of Nitrogen: Urea-Loaded Biochar and Bentonite Composite

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
Biochar-based fertilizers have attracted increased attention, because biochar can improve the soil fertility, promote plant growth and crop yield. However, biochar-based controlled release nitrogen fertilizers (BCRNFs) still face problems because of the ...

Stabilized Intermediate Phase Via Pseudo‐Halide Anions Toward Highly Efficient and Light‐Soaking Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.

Response of maize to ammonium nitrate, urea and cogranulated urea-urea phosphate [PDF]

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Plant and Soil, 1997
Urea fertilizers may lose N by ammonia volatilization when applied in the field. In order to reduce this loss, modified urea compounds are being used. Not all of them reduce ammonia loss and improve crop yields. A field study was conducted to evaluate the comparative advantage of cogranulated urea-urea phosphate (340 g N kg−1, 73 g P kg−1) over urea ...

Chemically Processed Porous V2O5 Thin‐Film Cathodes for High‐Performance Thin‐film Zn‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
This study presents a rapid, cost‐effective chemical method for fabricating porous vanadium oxide thin‐film cathodes, aimed at enhancing charge storage in Zinc‐ion thin‐film batteries. The approach promises high‐performance, safe, and affordable thin‐film batteries, with industrial viability through efficient processing of highly porous cathodes ...
