Ureteral Reimplantation in Myelodysplasia Children
Journal of Urology, 1981AbstractMost myelodysplasia children are now being managed by means other than external urinary diversion. This has increased the indications for antireflux surgery in such patients. Our review of 21 consecutive myelodysplasia children undergoing ureteral reimplantation indicates that there is a higher complication rate than in ureteral reimplantation ...

Ureteral Reimplantation without Catheters
Journal of Urology, 1981We report our 3-year experience of ureteroneocystostomy without either ureteral stents or vesical catheters. There were 87 ureters repaired in 52 children. Complete followup was obtained in all cases. The operative success rate was 94.2 per cent. The postoperative complication rate was 11 per cent.

Ureteral reimplantation: Lich method
Urology, 1977In utilizing the ureteral reimplantation procedure we have performed 76 reimplantations and have a 96 per cent success rate on our first operation. We review our clinical indications, material, and complications as well as our over-all results. We believe that this operation as outlined is as good or better than other previously reported types of ...

The diagnosis of ureteral reflux and the decision to treat it surgically are not made easily. There may be frequent visits to the pediatrician for urinary tract infections and short-term hospitalization for diagnostic tests. This can be stressful for the child and parents.

Extravesical Ureteral Reimplantation
The Journal of Urology, 1996We evaluated the results of extravesical ureteral reimplantation in children. We reviewed the records of 128 children (174 ureters) who underwent ureteral reimplantation via extravesical techniques. Primary vesicoureteral reflux was the most common diagnosis (73 patients). The extravesical technique produced a successful result in all patients (no reflux

Laparoscopic Ureteral Reimplantation
2020Laparoscopic ureteral reimplantation is feasible and was first performed in 1993 by Ehrlich and colleagues in children with high-grade ureterovesical reflux [1]. Operative time was reasonable (170–195 min), and the advantages of short hospital stay, fast recovery, and minimal postoperative pain were confirmed. Follow-up at 2 months showed relief of the

Various techniques of ureteral reimplantation have been described for different indications. After a retrospective study concerning 109 cases and 178 ureteral reimplantations, the authors propose the selective indications for each technique noting the most important results. The indications for reimplantations are numerous and varied: enterocystoplasty

Robotic Ureteral Reimplant—the Current Role
Current Urology Reports, 2017The goal of this article is to review the current role of robotic ureteral reimplant in pediatric patients, specifically in regard to indications, outcomes, and complications.Robotic ureteral reimplant has become an increasingly popular alternative to open ureteral reimplant with overall published success rates between 77-100%. In recent years, larger,
