Genital and urinary tract diseases and bladder cancer.

The relationship between selected urinary tract and genital diseases and the risk of bladder cancer was analyzed using data from a case-control study of 364 cases of bladder cancer and 447 controls hospitalized for acute, nonneoplastic, nongenital tract conditions, unrelated to known or suspected risk factors for bladder cancer.

Paget's disease of the groin associated with adenocarcinoma of the urinary bladder

A 70‐year‐old Caucasian male developed a left groin tumor with epidermal infiltration of Paget's type. Five months later the ureter was found to be obstructed by a bladder adenocarcinoma cytologically identical to the skin lesion. Both tumors contained carcinoembryonic antibodies, using the immunoperoxidase method.
