Pediatric Nephrology, 2013Lower urinary tract and/or kidney malformations are collectively the most common cause of end-stage renal disease in children, and they are also likely to account for a major subset of young adults requiring renal replacement therapy. Advances have been made regarding the discovery of the genetic causes of human kidney malformations.

We will shed light on history and physical findings, successful diagnostic work ups, and the various treatment options. Currently, the literature on hydatid disease of the bladder is primarily case studies with limited number of patients.

Paget's disease of the groin associated with adenocarcinoma of the urinary bladder
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 1987A 70‐year‐old Caucasian male developed a left groin tumor with epidermal infiltration of Paget's type. Five months later the ureter was found to be obstructed by a bladder adenocarcinoma cytologically identical to the skin lesion. Both tumors contained carcinoembryonic antibodies, using the immunoperoxidase method.

Cancer research, 1991The relationship between selected urinary tract and genital diseases and the risk of bladder cancer was analyzed using data from a case-control study of 364 cases of bladder cancer and 447 controls hospitalized for acute, nonneoplastic, nongenital tract conditions, unrelated to known or suspected risk factors for bladder cancer.
