Mechanism of RNA Oxidation and Its Inhibitor Involved in Ang II‐Induced Cardiomyocyte Hypertrophy
The oxidative damage of RNA is involved in the process of cardiomyocyte hypertrophy. The mechanism may be that 8‐oxoG, a product of RNA oxidation, activates the downstream ERK‐MAPK signaling pathway. ABSTRACT Objectives To explore the mechanism of RNA oxidation and its inhibitor MTHI involved in cardiomyocyte hypertrophy.

Hospitalized Older Patients’ Readiness to Use mHealth Mobility Apps
Hospitalized older adults prefer to remain active (81%) and are willing to use mHealth apps (55%) to support mobility. Our study highlights the potential of digital tools to improve engagement and reduce hospital‐associated disability. Most participants were comfortable using smartphones, presenting a promising avenue for implementing mHealth solutions.

This prospective randomized trial demonstrated that a 4‐day regimen of sulbactam/ampicillin significantly reduced the incidence of perineal wound infection (PWI) following abdominoperineal resection compared to a 1‐day cefmetazole regimen. This simple approach to antibiotic selection may be beneficial for preventing PWI.

This retrospective study investigated risk factors for anastomotic stricture and obstructive symptoms following double‐flap technique (DFT) reconstruction after proximal gastrectomy. Mucosal detachment, potentially caused by thermal damage, was identified as a significant risk factor for anastomotic stricture, while continuous suturing at the esophago ...

ABSTRACT Background Robot‐assisted rectal surgery (RAS) offers improved dexterity and visualization; however, the high cost of equipment and consumables remains a major challenge for hospital management. At our institution, we have adopted a combined approach using transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) for lower rectal cancers, aiming to shorten ...
