Proper motions of field L and T dwarfs -II

open access: yes, 2008
By using images taken with WFCAM on UKIRT and SofI on the NTT and combining them with 2MASS we have measured proper motions for 126 L and T dwarfs in the dwarf archive.

circRNA-DURSA regulates trophoblast apoptosis via miR-760-HIST1H2BE axis in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Nucleic Acids, 2021
Unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA) is one of the most intractable clinical challenges in reproduction. As a specific type of endogenous non-coding RNA, circular RNAs (circRNAs) have great pre-clinical diagnostic and therapeutic values in ...

Moduli dark matter and the search for its decay line using Suzaku X-ray telescope [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Light scalar fields called moduli arise from a variety of different models involving supersymmetry and/or string theory; thus their existence is a generic prediction of leading theories for physics beyond the standard model.

Association between per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances and unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion: A case-control study in China

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Although prior studies have identified that per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) were associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes, the potential influence of PFASs exposure on unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA) remains uncertain. Our

Globular cluster chemistry in fast rotating dwarf stars belonging to intermediate age open clusters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
(shortened) The peculiar chemistry observed in the multiple populations of Galactic globular clusters is not generally found in other systems like dwarf galaxies and open clusters, and at the moment no model can fully explain its presence.

High‐Temperature Heat Pump Test Bench with n‐Butane (R‐600) Generating Steam

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
This work involves building a test bench for a high‐temperature heat pump (HTHP) and analyzing the measurements. The focus is on steam generation using an HTHP to decarbonize process steam demand. The findings indicate that stable steam generation is possible, providing a higher heat transfer coefficient in the heat pump's condenser.

The Correlation Between Galaxy HI Linewidths and K' Luminosities [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The relationship between galaxy luminosities and rotation rates is studied with total luminosities in the K' band. Extinction problems are essentially eliminated at this band centered at 2.1 micron.
