A USER-DRIVEN AND A SEMANTIC-BASED ONTOLOGY MAPPING EVOLUTION APPROACH

Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Enterprise Information, 2009
Systems or software agents do not always agree on the information being shared, justifying the use of distinct ontologies for the same domain. For achieving interoperability, declarative mappings are used as a basis for exchanging information between systems.

A user-driven data warehouse evolution approach for concurrent personalized analysis needs

Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering, 2008
Data warehouses store aggregated data issued from different sources to meet users' analysis needs for decision support. The nature of the work of users implies that their requirements are often changing and do not reach a final state. Therefore, a data warehouse cannot be designed in one step, usually it evolves over the time. In this paper, we propose

A new approach to design user-driven security pricing model in cloud computing

2016 International Conference on Computing, Communication and Automation (ICCCA), 2016
On one side, pricing of services in Cloud Computing plays a crucial role in generating revenues and large-scale adoption within the masses, whereas on the other hand, security is one of the main issues for Cloud Computing to assure people about its trustworthiness and reliability.

User-Driven Approach to Intelligent Transport System Development and Implementation

1999
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) have a potential to radically improve perfomance measures of traffic processes management both on technological and beyond technological levels. Respecting this fact, the main thesis elaborated in this paper is that effective ITS planning and implementation (&#61614 ; National ITS architecture) necesserily ...

Semi-automated segmentation of neuroblastoma nuclei using the gradient energy tensor: a user driven approach

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
We propose a user-driven method for the segmentation of neuroblastoma nuclei in microscopic fluorescence images involving the gradient energy tensor . Multispectral fluorescence images contain intensity and spatial information about antigene expression, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) signals and nucleus morphology.

A User Driven Design Approach to Creating UGC Services – Challenging the Newspaper Industry

2013
This paper presents a user driven approach to creating user generated content services together with newspaper representatives and researchers in a Living Lab setting. Two cases are discussed, one with creating city district blogs and one with creating a site for un-employed youth.

A User-Driven Approach to Developing Ambient Assisted Living Systems for Older People

2011
This chapter describes some of the results of the EU-funded SOPRANO project to develop an Ambient Assisted Living system to promote active ageing and ageing-in-place. The chapter outlines SOPRANO‘s experience and application research approach to ensure that end-users are involved in all stages of the research and development.

Multi-page list extraction: an agent-oriented approach to user-driven information extraction

International Conference on Integration of Knowledge Intensive Multi-Agent Systems, 2005., 2006
A major problem with information extraction (IE) systems is that it is difficult to handle a large number of domains. This problem can be handled in various ways. One way is to try to create a system that is as general as possible and can extraction information from a large number of domains.

Exploring The Shadows: IT Governance Approaches To User-Driven Innovation

2012
Information Systems (IS) researchers traditionally have the assumption that Information Technology (IT) innovations are conceived within the IT department. Developments like ubiquitous computing, web services and the emerging culture of digital natives challenge this foundational assumption as they enable individuals to implement their own IT ...
