GPNMB immunohistochemistry is a useful ancillary tool for the diagnosis of pulmonary lymphangioleiomyomatosis

open access: yesHistopathology, Volume 88, Issue 3, Page 698-709, February 2026.
We evaluated the diagnostic utility of GPNMB immunohistochemistry in LAM. GPNMB showed strong expression in LAM cells, while the differential diagnostic mimics showed no or only low expression. Based on its 100% sensitivity and specificity in our cohort, GPNMB is a highly reliable immunohistochemical marker for the diagnosis of LAM.

Mechanisms of enhancer‐driven oncogene activation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 158, Issue 2, Page 333-341, 15 January 2026.
Abstract An aggressive subtype of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is caused by enhancer hijacking resulting in MECOM overexpression. Several chromosomal rearrangements can lead to this: the most common (inv(3)/t(3;3)) results in a hijacked GATA2 enhancer, and there are several atypical MECOM rearrangements involving enhancers from other hematopoietic ...

Relationship Between Age at Menarche and Contraceptive Use with Estrogen Receptor Alpha (ERα) Expression in Archived Uterine Leiomyoma Tissues [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
Uterine leiomyoma is a benign tumor whose growth is strongly influenced by Estrogen, particularly through Estrogen Receptor Alpha (ERa). Risk factors such as age at menarche and contraceptive use are suspected to play a role in uterine leiomyoma; however,
