Gasdermin D‐Mediated Release of IL‐33 Results in Fetal Brain Developmental Abnormalities During Maternal Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Under colitis, Gsdmd mediates the release of IL‐33 from the epithelium of pregnant mice. IL‐33 can cross the placenta and enhance the proliferative capacity of neural stem cells, ultimately resulting in behavioral deficits in the offspring. Excessive pyroptosis in the colonic epithelium also triggers the translocation of LPS, which in turn increases ...

Zero-Shot Learning for Semantic Utterance Classification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We propose a novel zero-shot learning method for semantic utterance classification (SUC). It learns a classifier $f: X \to Y$ for problems where none of the semantic categories $Y$ are present in the training set.

Topologically Structured PLLA Fibers With Stress Concentration Effects for Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, a multi‐path strategy was developed to enhance the piezoelectric properties of PLLA fibers through the stress concentration effect. The optimized devices generate piezoelectric output up to 14 times that of pure PLLA fibers. This piezoelectric enhancement strategy offers a new approach for high‐performance piezoelectric devices, with ...

Wittgenstein's "Remarks on Frazer's Golden Bough" (Religious praxis and its formation) [PDF]

open access: yesحکمت و فلسفه, 2007
One of Wittgenstein's concerns throughout his life was religion. He was involved in the language of religious "belief" more than anything, but by Frazer's Golden Bough he was encouraged in addition to the religious belief, to speak out about the ...

ABHD17C‐Mediated S‐Depalmitoylation of BCL6B Enhances CD24 Transcription to Resist Macrophage Phagocytosis in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABHD17C‐mediated depalmitoylation of BCL6B at Cys442 blocks its nuclear import and triggers ubiquitin‐dependent degradation, attenuating transcriptional repression of the anti‐phagocytic signal CD24. This mechanism enables pancreatic cancer cells to evade macrophage phagocytosis and fosters an immunosuppressive microenvironment.

THE CROATIAN PUNCTUATION DURING THE SECOND HALF OF THE XX CENTURY: FROM SENTENCE TO TEXT

open access: yesFluminensia: Journal for Philological Research, 2005
The orthography from 1960 intervened in the aspect of the norm, which prescribes the use of punctuation marks: the grammatical punctuation was replaced by punctuation dominantly conceived upon the semantic principle.

Ion‐Gating Reservoir Computing for Preprocessing‐Free Speech Recognition from Throat Vibrations

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a throat‐mounted mechanoelectric sensor integrated with an ion‐gel/graphene reservoir device for on‐device speech recognition. The system converts raw biomechanical vibrations into rich nonlinear current dynamics, enabling efficient classification through a simple linear readout. The approach highlights a compact and tunable physical‐

علاقة اللفظ بالمعنى وتعليم العربية

open access: yesEskiyeni, 2016

Multi-talker Speech Separation with Utterance-level Permutation Invariant Training of Deep Recurrent Neural Networks

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we propose the utterance-level Permutation Invariant Training (uPIT) technique. uPIT is a practically applicable, end-to-end, deep learning based solution for speaker independent multi-talker speech separation.

Remote Language Assessment in School‐Age Children With Phelan–McDermid Syndrome and Genotype–Phenotype Correlation

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT People with Phelan–McDermid syndrome (PMS) have reduced speech and language abilities, yet little research has profiled the communication abilities in this population. The purpose of this study was threefold: identifying the language and communication profiles of school‐aged children with PMS, identifying genetic contributions to language and ...
