An overview of liquid phase microextraction approaches combined with UV–Vis spectrophotometry

Talanta, 2012
Ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometer has become a popular analytical instrument in the modern day laboratories. However, the low concentrations of many analytes in samples make it difficult to directly measure them by UV-Vis spectrophotometry.

High-Resolution, Higher-Order UV/VIS Derivative Spectrophotometry

Angewandte Chemie International Edition in English, 1978
AbstractDerivative spectrophotometry has gained increasing importance in the past two years and is currently experiencing vigorous development. Following and introduction the present article provides a review of this extremely effective method. In particular, the advantages ofhigher‐order derivative spectrophotometry (HODS method,n> 2) are discussed

Determination of olmesartan medoxomil in tablets by UV-Vis spectrophotometry

Die Pharmazie, 2007
A simple, rapid and reliable UV spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of olmesartan medoxomil in pharmaceutical dosage forms. The solutions of standard, tablet and synthetic tablet were prepared in acetonitrile and in NaOH-Water. 258 nm and 250 nm were chosen for acetonitrile and for NaOH-Water solutions respectively.

Use of UV-Vis Spectrophotometry for Characterization of Carbon Nanostructures: a Review

Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry, 2021
A detailed review of the application of the method of absorption spectrophotometry in the ultraviolet and visible regions for the study of carbon nanostructures (CNSs), such as graphene, carbon nanotubes (CNTs), their hybrids, etc., is presented. It is shown that such CNSs have characteristic absorption bands in the UV-Vis regions of the spectrum, and ...

Methods Development and Validation of Cefprozil by UV-Vis Spectrophotometry

Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, 2021
The present work describes which deals to developed and validate a simple, accurate, precise, economically effective US-VIS Spectrophotometric method for the estimation of cefprozil. These methods are developing using 280nm as the λmax of cefprozil respectively. Calibration curves were linear over the concentration ranges of 10-50µg/ml.

Refractive index-assisted UV/Vis spectrophotometry to overcome spectral interference by impurities

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2021
A major challenge hindering the application of techniques like UV/Vis spectrophotometry in determining concentration is spectral interference from contaminants. Since molar absorptivities vary significantly, even minuscule amounts of specific contaminants may cause relatively large errors in UV/Vis spectrophotometry based quantification.

Colorimetric Sensor Based AgNPs for the Detection of Cyanide using UV‐Vis Spectrophotometry

ChemistrySelect, 2023
Abstract Cyanide (CN − ) is known to be a very harmful ion that may accumulate in the air, soil and water, and become a critical risk to organisms, even at trace levels. Hence, it is very critical to develop sensitive and accurate analytical methods for the determination of ...
