Albumin Identification in Catfish ( Clarias sp ) Using Spectrophotometry UV-VIs

open access: yesAd-Dawaa : Journal of Pharmacy, 2023
Albumin is a simple protein with globular protein molecules. Albumin is water soluble and can be coagulated with heat. Albumin solution in water can be precipitated by adding ammonium sulfate until saturated. Albumin functions to regulate the osmotic pressure in the blood, maintain the presence of water in the blood plasma so that it can maintain the ...

[The examination of peat preparations by the UV-VIS absorption spectrophotometry].

open access: yesRoczniki Panstwowego Zakladu Higieny, 2008
For the testing of natural peat extracts and preparations produced from them absorbance measurements in the range lambda = 200--800 nm were used. The progressive increase of absorption spectra from 450 nm to short waves was observed. The curve calibration was rectilinear in a solution of humus acid (commercial preparation) when lambda = 420 nm.
