Avian Influenza H5N1 in Tigers and Leopards
Emerging Infectious Diseases, 2004 Influenza virus is not known to affect wild felids. We demonstrate that avian influenza A (H5N1) virus caused severe pneumonia in tigers and leopards that fed on infected poultry carcasses.

Adipocyte‐Derived Leptolin Enhances Energy Expenditure and Prevents Obesity
Advanced Science, EarlyView.We identified a novel adipokine, which we named leptolin. In humans, leptolin levels in white adipose tissue were positively correlated with exercise and negatively associated with body mass index. We observed elevated leptolin in serum from athletes and lower leptolin in serum from obese individuals.
