Development of the abdominal musculature in the chicken embryo
In this study, we investigate anatomy, morphogenesis, segmental origin, and fiber formation of the abdominal musculature in the chicken embryo. We show that abdominal muscles arise from somites 24 to 28, and that the segmental identity of individual fibers in the abdominal muscle sheets is maintained.

Our μCT‐based pilot study reveals size and shape disparity in the adult postcranial skeleton of growth‐hormone model (bGH) mice relative to wild‐type mice. bGH mice have larger and more sexually dimorphic bones, with a systemic radiodensity increase in bony sesamoids and associated, but typically uncalcified, soft tissues.

ABSTRACT This study investigated the physicochemical characteristics and chemical safety of commercial wet cat foods marketed in Brazil. Twenty products labeled as beef, chicken and fish flavors were analyzed for proximate composition, pH, lipid and protein oxidation, biogenic amines, and essential and potentially toxic trace elements.
