Analysis of V2V communication for ADAS
2017 Ninth International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN), 2017Recently, Advanced Driver-assist Systems (ADASs) have attracted, demonstrating the possibility that semi-autonomous driving using state-of-the-art sensors assists the drivers with more safety, convenience, and risk avoidance than controlling the car manually. ADASs work by judging the surrounding situation with the sensor data in a vehicle, but it will

Channel Modeling for V2V Communications
2006 Third Annual International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Networking & Services, 2006In this paper we describe results of a channel measurement campaign for modeling the V2V channel. After review of applications, potential frequency bands, and related work, we describe the measurements and results for delay spreads and multipath component fading amplitudes and correlations, made in multiple V2V environments.

Regularized ICI Cancellation in V2V Communications
Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Engineering Applications of Neural Networks (INNS), 2015In this work, we consider a V2V commnunication system operating over high relative speeds. In this scenario, the wireless channel is characterized by double selectivity, which results into intercarrier interference (ICI) at the receiver. To mitigate this effect, several equalization schemes have been proposed, which usually adopt a banded approximation

Experimental Assessment of V2V and I2V Communications
2007 IEEE Internatonal Conference on Mobile Adhoc and Sensor Systems, 2007A key component of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) is the provision of adequate network infrastructure to support vehicular communication. In this paper we present the results of an extensive measurement campaign evaluating the performance of IEEE 802.11 in different vehicular communication scenarios: vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and ...

Empirical Performance Models for V2V Communications
2015 IEEE International Conference on Computer and Information Technology; Ubiquitous Computing and Communications; Dependable, Autonomic and Secure Computing; Pervasive Intelligence and Computing, 2015Vehicular networks will significantly enhance traffic safety and management thanks to the wireless exchange of messages between vehicles and between vehicles and infrastructure nodes. Vehicular networks will make use of the IEEE 802.11p technology in the 5.9GHz frequency band.

V2V communication in a Cox field of vehicles
2014 International Conference on Connected Vehicles and Expo (ICCVE), 2014We study the effect of vehicle's random locations in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication. To account for a doubly stochastic property of a vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET), we model vehicle's random locations as a stationary Cox process. The key wireless propagations — path loss, shadowing, and multipath fading — are also considered.
