Channel Modeling for V2V Communications

2006 Third Annual International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Networking & Services, 2006
In this paper we describe results of a channel measurement campaign for modeling the V2V channel. After review of applications, potential frequency bands, and related work, we describe the measurements and results for delay spreads and multipath component fading amplitudes and correlations, made in multiple V2V environments.

Characterizing Urban V2V Link Communications

2020
After enhancing the communication performance at the MAC layer, in this chapter, we investigate the vehicular link layer performance, which is of paramount importance for reliable message exchanging. However, with limited literature available, there is a lack of understanding about how IEEE 802.11p based DSRC performs for V2V communications in urban ...

MobSampling: V2V Communications for Traffic Density Estimation

2011 IEEE 73rd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2011
We propose a fully-distributed approach to the on line estimation of vehicle traffic density. Our approach envisions vehicles communicating within a VANET and cooperating to collect density measurements through a uniform sampling of the road sections of interest.
