Vaccine safety messages (frequency of AEFIs): World Health Organization vaccine safety supporting document

open access: yes, 2015
8 p.Vaccine-safety-related events, and how we respond to them, can affect public trust in vaccines and health authorities. These events may or may not be linked to vaccines and include: adverse events following immunization (AEFIs), vaccination programme

Primary and booster immune responses to SA14-14-2 Japanese encephalitis vaccine in Korean infants

open access: yes, 1999
Attenuated SA14-14-2 Japanese encephalitis (JE) vaccine has been administered safely and effectively to more than 100 million children in China since 1988 and recently, licensure of the vaccine in Korea has been sought.

Natural‐Inspired Engineered Microalgae With Selenium Enrichment Enabled Potent Anti‐Tumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Se‐Ssp was engineered as a potent immunomodulator for activating innate immunity via the TLR and cGAS‐STING pathways, therefore converting “cold” tumors into “hot” tumors to achieve high efficacy and long‐term therapeutic outcomes. ABSTRACT Immunotherapy has shed light on clinical oncology for several decades.

Intrasplenic Thymus Organogenesis from Injectable Tissue Fragments Restores Functional T‐Cell Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Clinical intramuscular thymus transplantation yields only short‐lived efficacy and marginal therapeutic benefits. Benefiting from the spleen's intrinsic strengths—rapid vascular perfusion, abundant developmental factors, and resident progenitors—the intrasplenic thymic grafts achieve robust thymic regeneration and substantial T‐cell reconstitution ...

A Phase I, randomized, open-label study to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of an enterovirus 71 vaccine

open access: yes, 2013
[[abstract]]AbstractBackground Large-scale outbreaks of enterovirus 71 (EV71) infections have occurred in Asia-Pacific regions. Severe complications include encephalitis and poliomyelitis-like paralysis, cardiopulmonary collapse, and death, necessitating

An Engineered HR1‐Stem Helix‐HR2 Trimeric Platform for Developing Broad‐Spectrum Coronavirus Vaccines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sun et al. report a self‐assembling trimeric subunit vaccine platform termed RHS, which integrates the JN.1 receptor‐binding domain (RBD) with the heptad repeat 1 (HR1), stem helix (SH), and heptad repeat 2 (HR2) regions. The SARS‐CoV‐2 RHS vaccine elicits variant‐reactive RBD‐specific antibodies and cross‐reactive SH‐specific antibodies against ...

Dual pKa Lipid Nanoparticles for Lung‐tropic mRNA Delivery and pH‐Programmed Endosomal Escape

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles’ bottleneck lies in low endosomal escape efficiency and liver‐dominant delivery after intravenous administration. To overcome these limitations, we present a stepwise pH‐programmed lipid nanoparticle system enabled by our newly synthesized ionizable lipid.

The Cancer Cell Metabolic Reprogramming Remodels the Tumor Microenvironment: Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review elucidates how cancer cell metabolic reprogramming—across glucose, lipid, amino acid, and nucleotide pathways—remodels the tumor microenvironment to suppress anti‐tumor immunity and promote immune escape. Targeting these metabolic axes offers promising strategies to overcome immunotherapy resistance and enhance cancer treatment.
