A carbon-number lump based model for simulation of industrial hydrotreaters: Vacuum gas oil (VGO)

Chemical Engineering Journal, 2019
A detailed, molecule-based trickle bed reactor model has been developed to simulate industrial vacuum gas oil (VGO) hydrotreaters. A feed characterization module is used to calculate the composition of the feed without any detailed experimental component

NMR, CHEMOMETRIC AND GCxGC STUDIES OF CRUDE OILS, VACUUM RESIDUES AND VACUUM GAS OIL

2015
NMR spectroscopy in combination with statistical methods was used to study vacuum residues and vacuum gas oils from 32 crude oils of different origin. Two chemometric metodes were applied. Firstly, principal component analysis on complete spectra was used to perform classification of samples and clear distinction between vacuum residues and vacuum ...

Heterogeneous Approach to the Catalytic Cracking of Vacuum Gas Oil

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2008
This study examines the roles of intracrystallite diffusion and reaction phenomena during the catalytic cracking of vacuum gas oil. Catalytic cracking experiments on FCC-type catalysts were performed in a fluidized bench-scale CREC riser simulator. This reactor was operated under close-to-industrial FCC conditions in terms of temperature, reaction time,

Phosphorous-Modified Beta Zeolite and Its Performance in Vacuum Gas Oil Hydrocracking Activity

Energy & Fuels, 2019
The present work reports the synthesis of beta zeolite and its modification with phosphorous in different percentages of P2O5 (1 and 5%) and vacuum gas oil (VGO) hydrocracking (HCK) conversion and yield to naphtha and middle distillates.

Coke deposition and product distribution in the co-cracking of waste polyolefin derived streams and vacuum gas oil under FCC unit conditions

Fuel processing technology, 2019
The effect of co-cracking of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or its pyrolysis wax together with vacuum gasoil (VGO) has been studied. The aim is to determine the content, nature, and location of coke while analyzing the impact on product distribution in

Deactivation of Cracking Catalysts with Vacuum Gas Oils

1991
Summary The decay of cracking catalysts is studied as a function of the coke content. The results suggest a deactivation by site fouling and zeolite pore plugging under diffusional limitation. A simple model with two parameters is able to represent the deactivation function and can be easily introduced in the kinetic model.

THERMAL STABILITY OF THE OXIDATION PRODUCTS OF VACUUM GAS OIL

Chemistry for Sustainable Development
An approach including preliminary oxidation of vacuum gas oil, chromatographic separation of oxidation products, and thermal treatment is considered. Analysis of the products formed in the cracking of polar and non-polar components of vacuum gas oil oxidised with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and formic acid is described.
