Advancing tele‐physiology: A chest patch solution for continuous, non‐invasive remote monitoring in a hypoxic environment

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Skin‐mounted sensors are thin, flexible and lightweight electronic devices that enable monitoring of multiple physiological parameters. The aim of this study was to provide pilot evidence for possible utilization of a sensorized patch for capturing the bodily response to hypoxia. The subsequent phases of the study comprised a case report and a

Operation of Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption without Purge Gas and Proposal of a Valuation Method

open access: yesJOURNAL OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING OF JAPAN, 2007
In this study we propose new techniques for evaluating operating conditions employed for vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) in the recovery of volatile organic compounds (VOC). The new method incorporates a precoating step for the mesoporous activated carbon in the adsorption column, but does not use purge gas for the desorption step.
