Tinidazole for bacterial vaginosis
Expert Review of Anti-infective Therapy, 2007Tinidazole has been used for bacterial vaginosis (BV) outside the USA for almost four decades. Tinidazole has recently been resurrected and FDA approved for trichomoniasis and BV in the USA and is being restudied as an alternative to metronidazole for BV.

Bacterial vaginosis and smoking
International Journal of STD & AIDS, 2000This study aimed to investigate if there is an association between bacterial vaginosis (BV) and smoking. This cohort study included 956 randomly chosen, apparently healthy women at 2 family planning and one youth clinic. Of the 956 women, 131 women fulfilled the criteria for BV and the remaining 825 served as a control group.
