Paliperidone poisoning and measurable plasma concentrations 2.5 years after last administered dose: A case report

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 91, Issue 6, Page 1580-1585, June 2025.
We report a poisoning with paliperidone palmitate, a once‐monthly, long‐acting injectable antipsychotic. The patient suffered from deep sedation and dystonia. She had been treated with extended release intramuscular paliperidone for several years and had received her last injection 8 days prior to admission.

Therapeutic drug monitoring, liquid biopsies or pharmacogenomics for prediction of human drug metabolism and response

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 91, Issue 6, Page 1569-1579, June 2025.
Pharmacokinetics plays a central role in understanding the significant interindividual differences that exist in drug metabolism and response. Effectively addressing these differences requires a multi‐faceted approach that encompasses a variety of tools and methods.

Prenatal Exposure to Lipopolysaccharide or Valproate Leads to Abnormal Accumulation of the NMDA Receptor Agonist D‐Aspartate in the Adolescent Rat Brain

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 169, Issue 6, June 2025.
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition linked to glutamatergic neurotransmission abnormalities. We analyzed by HPLC the cerebral and peripheral profiles of D‐aspartate, D‐serine, and other L‐amino acids involved in NMDA receptor signaling in environmental ASD rat models prenatally exposed to lipopolysaccharide or valproate ...
