Thermogeometric study of van der Waals like phase transition in black holes: An alternative approach
It is well-known that the non-extremal anti-de-Sitter (AdS) black holes show various van der Waals type criticalities, such as the P−V, T−S, Y−X, Q2−Ψ etc. In these cases, the phase space diagram of the relevant quantities are similar in behaviour to the

Hadron resonance gas with van der Waals interactions [PDF]
An overview of a hadron resonance gas (HRG) model that includes van der Waals (vdW) interactions between hadrons is presented. Applications of the excluded volume HRG model to heavy-ion collision data and lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD) equation of state are discussed. A recently developed quantum vdW HRG model is covered as well. Applications of

In this work the chemistry of asymptotically AdS black hole, for the charged and uncharged solutions of Pure Lovelock gravity, is discussed. The charged case behaves as a Van der Waals fluid and whose first order phase transitions, between small stable ...

SOME PROPERTIES OF A VAN DER WAALS GAS [PDF]
The thermodynamic functions of an ideal subetance represented by van der Waals equation are obtained with the help of the condition that these functions reduce to those of a perfect gas in the limiting case of vanisning prassure. The volumes of the liquid state and gas state in coexistence as determined by Maxwell's rule of equal areas are expressed in

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Van der Waals gas as working substance in a Curzon and Ahlborn-Novikov engine
: Using a van der Waals gas as the working substance the so called Curzon and Ahlborn-Novikov engine is studied. It is shown that some previous results found in the literature of finite time thermodynamics can be written in a more general form, means of ...

Considering de Rham–Gabadadze–Tolley theory of massive gravity coupled with (ghost free) higher curvature terms arisen from the Lovelock Lagrangian, we obtain charged-AdS black hole solutions in diverse dimensions.
