SOME PROPERTIES OF A VAN DER WAALS GAS [PDF]
The thermodynamic functions of an ideal subetance represented by van der Waals equation are obtained with the help of the condition that these functions reduce to those of a perfect gas in the limiting case of vanisning prassure. The volumes of the liquid state and gas state in coexistence as determined by Maxwell's rule of equal areas are expressed in

An Extension of the Van der Waals Equation of State
We extend the Van der Waals equation of state to a universal form and find that the van der Waals equation of state is a special condition of this form. Then a good form of the equation of state for a balanced liquid-gas coexistence canonical argon-like ...

Weinhold'length in an isochoric thermodynamic system at constant heat capacity
The purpose of this paper is to study thermodynamic length of an isochoric two dimensional thermodynamic system with constant heat capacity. We find that length is related to the heat flow into the substance.

Liquid-Gas Coexistence and Critical Behavior in Boxed Pseudo-Fermi Matter [PDF]
A schematic model is presented that allows one to study the behavior of interacting pseudo-Fermi matter locked in a thermostatic box. As a function of the box volume and temperature, the matter is seen to show all of the familiar charactersitics of a Van

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Critical Phenomena and Thermodynamic Geometry of RN-AdS Black Holes
The phase transition of Reissner-Nordstr\"om black holes in $(n+1)$-dimensional anti-de Sitter spacetime is studied in details using the thermodynamic analogy between a RN-AdS black hole and a van der Waals liquid gas system.

VUV Spectroscopy of Rare-Gas Van Der Waals Dimers [PDF]
It is well known that ground-state rare-gas atoms repel each other, except for van der Waals forces which lead to weak molecular binding in all of the homonuclear and heteronuclear dimers except, possibly, He2 [1]. Removal of the outermost electron, which is anti bonding in character, leads to a stable ground ionic state for all of the dimers.
